Hello, people of the internet. You may be scratching your heads, wondering what this is. Welcome, unaware guests, to a
Okay, in all seriousness, welcome to the new home for Downcline Interactive news. If you've never heard of Downcline Interactive, don't worry, it's fairly unknown even to those who've played our games. So, let's clear this up real quick:
Downcline Interactive, originally known as Team Tribute, is a Roblox group. The group has made (as of writing) FNaF: Tribute, That Fateful Night: Tribute, and The Night Shift: Tribute. The first game on the list (which is commonly just referred to as Tribute) is a retro-themed FNaF roleplay, which takes place in an arcade cabinet made by a fictional company called Downcline Interactive (hence the name).
That was likely a lot to take in at once, so let's quickly move on to the main subject of the blog: Tribute's Overhaul update! Now that Christmas has (hopefully) been handled, all developer attention will finally be on Overhaul. So, what is this mythical Overhaul, and what does it change? Well...
-Model updates to pretty much every character!
-An upgrade to a lot of the GUI!
-An update to the soundtrack, replacing the Mechanism OST with tracks of our very own!
-More user-friendly design elements!
-An options menu!
-General under-the-hood improvements, to make the game easier to update!
-New content that isn't even in Tribute right now!
-And so much more I can't write about (unless I want to get fired)!
"Wowie!", you think to yourself, "This sounds great! When can I play it?"
Well, this is sadly where reality comes in: game development takes time. And an undertaking like this will probably take a lot of it. Now, with the release of the Christmas update, given that was the final update planned for Tribute before Overhaul, work will more than likely speed up for the project from here. However, to put things into perspective:
This is the completion bar for just one of the parts within Overhaul. Not to say we won't be making progress in multiple parts at once, but it is important to keep this perspective in mind. Honestly, this could take so long we can't even release it in 2025, but I'm sure the Tribute playerbase is used to being starved for updates by now (oops).
...okay, it'd be a little mean to leave you guys with literally nothing after just dropping that bombshell, so I'll give a couple teasers as to what's been done.
A new little bonus for Overhaul: loading screens! These'll appear when you're loading into the map. They'll stay on screen for a few extra seconds than needed to allow you to view them in full, though this additional delay can be turned off if you like. Here's an example of one, featuring the new designs for Green Bear and Blueberry!

Also new to Overhaul, completely original music in every regard! You can listen to the new main menu theme here!
And that's all we have to show so far! Sorry this may have been rather light, but we didn't have a lot planned (we were pretty caught up in other things, such as the Christmas update). Hopefully we'll have more to share by the next post!
