The Bi-Weekly Beginnings

Hey, Tributors! Welcome to what will become a bi-weekly blog post, in which if you haven’t guessed already, me and Chihiro will be taking turns writing blog posts! You can tell it’s me because my text is green, see! Chihiro wrote the last one, so I’m here now! Before I cover the overhaul of Tribute; I want to touch on a couple of other things first; Thanks for the support with FNaF: Tribute all the way up until it received its final update for Christmas! It means a lot to me and the team!!! Thanks for praising and playing it’s two spinoffs, The Night Shift and That Fateful Night as we made those games as fun little side projects to pay tribute(heheh) to older FNaF fangames on the ROBLOX platform. And for taking the transition from one discord server to another so well! It’s been amazing seeing everyone interact recently! Because of this; I’ll unveil something new onto you all; Sometime this year, Tribute will get an update that isn’t overhaul. That’s the most I can say! (trust me, it’s killing me to keep quiet about it but you guys will love it, trust)

With that said, I want to highly encourage you guys to bring awareness to the new Downcline Interactive server and our group as a whole(as well as its games, obviously). We’re in a period where our games aren’t getting many updates anymore, so community interaction is more important than ever, mainly to keep the games and the community alive and well while we take our time crafting what might be our best work yet.

Finally, with all that stuff out of the way; onto what you’re all probably clambering for; Tribute’s overhaul update!

First off; here’s the new progress bar for Part 1.

68 / 102 (66.67%)

In spite of the progress made, there's actually been quite some setback. The initial plan for FNaF 1 and 2 was to use the maps from TFN:T as a basis, and build up from there. But we've decided against that, in favor of remaking them from the ground up. This will obviously take quite some time, so here's a free FNaF 3 teaser to compensate!

To add onto that, in Overhaul, many character models got either slight updates or their designs were completely changed-- to an extent. Whether they were slightly changed or completely overhauled, they all got brand new renders. Here’s an image just showing 4 characters, comparing their renders from Tribute to their renders in Overhaul.

And finally, to end it off, a new track has been posted on the Downcline Interactive channel! This is the track for FNaF 2, and you can listen to it here!

Thanks for reading, see you all on February 14th! (since Chihiro’s blogpost will be on Jan. 31st)
