Hi guys! Long time no see, huh? Been a good- nine months since the last blog post, I hope. The site got quite the do-over, with a color scheme that's hopefully easier on the eyes, while also invoking that same vibe as ScottGames did.
I know what you're here for, though. You're here for news on what we've been cooking up, aren't you? Well, let's not waste any more time, and jump straight into what's done, and what's planned.
As many are likely aware, the classic version of Tribute had its final update recently, Curtain Call. I want to thank anyone who has revisited the game, whether that be to relive old memories, get the new badge, or just relax in the old style.
As you may expect, we're now fully done with the old version of Tribute, aside from potential minor additions and bug fixes. With this version of the game put to rest, we can finally focus on updating the games that will be receiving continuous support.
Now that old Tribute is wrapped up, the next item on our agenda is the - really long and overdue - overhaul to That Fateful Night! I won't speak much of it here though, as we have a page dedicated to this entire subject that will hopefully be filled out with information over the coming weeks! So please head over to that page if you want more information.
What I will say is that the game is actually much closer to being done than you might think! But, with that said, don't be surprised if we have to drop it in a public beta rather than full release to meet potential deadlines.
Once That Fateful Night has its overhaul launch, the next thing in our line-up will be Christmas updates! Now, given we'll have likely just gotten done making and playtesting TFN, don't expect super massive Christmas updates. But I do want to lay out what you could potentially see in the future! Keep in mind these plans are subject to change.
As its first proper major update since hiatus, main Tribute will be receiving, as you'd expect, new festive skins! There's also potential for a Christmas map skin for at least one of the maps, but given the track record with the creation of those, don't hold your breath.
That Fateful Night will also receive its first major update post-overhaul for Christmas, with all new Christmas cosmetics! I'd love to also do a Christmas-themed map for the rotation, but again, don't be surprised if that plan is scrapped.
The more observant members of my community may have known that Purgatory is a game that moved from Downcline to my group post-hiatus. However, given the resurgence in activity, I felt it was only fitting to bring this project back home to Downcline. I believe it fits better here, too, given its style.
Now, does this mean this game is being actively worked on at the moment? No. And it likely won't see many developments for the rest of 2025, especially since it's not placed definitively on our roadmap. However, it will be worked on when we hit a creative slump with other projects.
So, there you have it! Our current plans (that I'm at least allowed to share) for the foreseeable future! Will we fully follow through on all of these? Only time will tell. But for now, here's to hoping for the brightest future there is! Farewell!
